GEWISS Group has published its Sustainability Report 2025
GEWISS Group has published its Sustainability Report 2025 — a report on the Group’s performance and progress in the areas of sustainability, innovation, energy efficiency, responsible manufacturing, people and corporate governance.
The document covers the GEWISS Group’s activities throughout 2025 and demonstrates how sustainability principles are integrated into the company’s strategic and operational decisions.
The report has been prepared on a voluntary basis, taking into account the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and the principles of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
The GEWISS Group’s Development
In 2025, GEWISS continued to strengthen its position in the international market and develop a comprehensive offering in key areas:
- electricity management and protection;
- building automation;
- electromobility;
- smart lighting.
A key event of the year was the completion of the reorganisation of the Lighting Business Unit and the integration of BEGHELLI into the GEWISS Group, with the strategic combination of the expertise of Performance iN Lighting and TVILIGHT.
This enables the Group to create an even more comprehensive ecosystem of technological solutions for modern residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure facilities.
Energy efficiency and responsible manufacturing
Throughout 2025, GEWISS continued to implement projects aimed at improving energy efficiency.
Thanks to the measures implemented, energy consumption was reduced by a further 204 MWh, in addition to the 1,410 MWh achieved in 2024.
As a result, total energy consumption fell by approximately 2.4 per cent, whilst emissions fell by approximately 52 tonnes of CO₂e.
At the same time, GEWISS is increasing its use of renewable energy sources. 35 per cent of the Group’s production sites are already equipped with photovoltaic systems, and the volume of self-generated renewable energy in 2025 rose by 41 per cent compared with the previous year.
The use of solar energy has enabled a further reduction in emissions of approximately 305 tonnes of CO₂e.
Product sustainability
GEWISS assesses the environmental impact of its products throughout their entire life cycle.
In 2025, the company obtained a further four new PEP Ecopassport® certifications, whilst the number of certified product codes increased by 9.6 per cent.
At the same time, 93 per cent of the Group’s total waste is classified as non-hazardous.
For GEWISS, environmental responsibility is not a separate area of activity, but an integral part of its approach to product development, production organisation and technological advancement.
People and corporate culture
As at 31 December 2025, the GEWISS Group employed 3,297 staff — 49 per cent more than the previous year.
96.8 per cent of employees are on permanent contracts, and the proportion of women in the workforce has reached 40 per cent.
During the year, GEWISS employees undertook over 29,000 hours of training, underscoring the Group’s systematic approach to developing professional skills.
Particular attention is paid to a culture of safety, the prevention of workplace risks and the continuous improvement of work processes.
GEWISS Experience Centre
The GEWISS Experience Centre remains a key venue for professional interaction — a space designed to showcase the Group’s technologies and solutions, as well as to facilitate the exchange of expertise with partners and the professional community.
Throughout 2025, over 150 events were held here, attended by around 3,000 people.
International standards and responsible management
In 2025, GEWISS obtained three new international certifications:
- ISO 45001 — occupational health and safety management system, GEWISS Deutschland;
- ISO 14001 — environmental management system, GEWISS Deutschland;
- ISO 20121 — sustainable event management system, GEWISS Experience Centre.
The company also continues to develop its supplier assessment system based on ESG criteria, enhancing transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.
Technologies designed for the future
The Sustainability Report 2025 illustrates GEWISS’s approach, in which technological development, energy efficiency, responsible manufacturing and care for people are integral parts of a single long-term strategy.
It is particularly important to us to introduce these technologies in Ukraine and provide the Ukrainian market with access to GEWISS’s cutting-edge European solutions for energy, buildings, industry, infrastructure, lighting and electric mobility.
We are continuing to develop the GEWISS brand in the Ukrainian market, providing access to products, technical support and professional solutions for partners, designers, installation companies and customers.
