SB-ATS-4-100 is a four-pole ATS (3 phases + neutral) that provides fast and reliable switching between the main and backup power sources.
In the event of a power failure at the main input, the load is instantly switched to the backup line (generator, portable station, etc.). After the centralized power supply is restored, the system automatically returns the power to the priority main input. The contacts switch automatically within 50 ms, which minimizes interruptions in the operation of equipment and critical systems.
Built-in voltage control provides an additional level of protection for the control circuit:
- Undervoltage – shutdown at 175V, restoration at 195V.
- Overvoltage – shutdown at 260V, restoration at 240V.
The UEC SB-ATS-4-100 ATS is designed for a rated current of 100 A and a voltage of 400 V. The IP30 protection rating allows the device to be used in indoor distribution boards. Installation is possible both on a DIN rail and on a mounting panel using screws.
For guaranteed operation in automatic mode, the power supply must be at least 3 kW. Also, external automatic circuit breakers must be installed for protection against overcurrents.
The ATS is equipped with additional contact blocks for remote signaling (light or sound) and automatic shutdown of the generator when the main power is restored.
The ATS does not have a built-in module for automatic generator start-up.
To build a generator auto-start system based on SB-ATS-4-100, additional equipment must be used: an intermediate relay or a modular contactor with normally closed (NC) contacts. The control coil of the relay or modular contactor controls the main network, and the start signal is supplied through the contact group (NC) of the relay or contactor.
The principle of operation is based on automatic contact closure: while the main network is under voltage, the generator start circuit remains open. In the event of an emergency power failure at the main source, the relay instantly connects the contacts (NC type), initiating the generator start without your intervention.
To implement the auto-start system, you can use the following device models:
- Modular contactor HC20-11 AC UEC - item MACC-20-11
- RP intermediate relay (16A) 230 V AC UEC - item SB-RP-116-AC230V or RT multifunctional time relay 1 contact 230 V AC UEC - item SB-RT-M1-AC230V , in order to increase the service life of the generator and prevent frequent starts during short-term on/off switching of the main network.
